By Kathleen Recchia November 7, 2018

SARANAC LAKE, NY— BluSeed Studios announces its annual “Off the Wall” Exhibit, opening on Thursday, November 15 from 5 PM to 7 PM in the gallery space at the art center at 24 Cedar Street.

“Off the Wall” features the new work produced by local artists and artisans that retails for $100 or less. The work may be purchased and carried off on the spot. Artists will replenish their inventory as the show goes on and their merchandise finds new homes or is used for holiday gift-giving.

BluSeed will host a Meet-the-Artists reception at the exhibit opening on November 15. Some of the artists and artisans exhibiting include woodworker Mark Paul, natural materials artist Anne Hughes, Beth Glover and Sarah Granquist who create unique ornamental wreaths, and BluSeed’s own Artistic Director, Carol Marie Vossler. Many of the artists will be at the reception to answer questions about their work.

The exhibit will feature a wide array of artistic media including acrylic and watercolor paintings, photography, prints, pottery, mixed media, fiber art, and much more. All of the art is handmade and/or composed by the artists.

The exhibit runs through January 4 and the gallery is open during BluSeed's regular business hours, by appointment, and during special BluSeed events.

In addition to hosting the “Off the Wall” opening exhibit, BluSeed Studios is partnering with the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce on the November 5:01 Connect so there will be even more community involvement and information shared at this cultural event. The opening event and Connect 5:01 is free and appropriate for all ages. Refreshments will be served.
