4th of July Events & Where to See Fireworks

Events in the Adirondacks - Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, Long Lake, Tupper Lake, Ticonderoga, Keene

July 4th and the days leading up to it is a great time to be in the Adirondacks. Several small towns in the area host mostly free events that are open to all.  

June 30th

July 1st

July 2nd

  • Local Farmer’s Markets - Keene (9:30AM - 2 PM) & Saranac (not Saranac Lake) (10am-1pm)
  • Fort Ticonderoga - daily activities
  • Ticonderoga “Best 4th in the North” activities
    • 4-10PM: Food, Vendors & Rides In Bicentennial Park
    • 6-9PM: Patriotic Bash - Dance In The Park w/ DJ Cruz In Bicentennial Park

July 3rd 

  • Fireworks in Tupper Lake at dusk, around 9:00pm (Tupper Lake Municipal Park, Demars Boulevard, Tupper Lake, New York) 
  • Fort Ticonderoga - daily activities
  • Ticonderoga “Best 4th in the North” activities
    • 4-10:30PM: Food, Vendors & Rides In Bicentennial Park 
    • 4-7PM: Fire Fighter Competition - area fire fighters come together to compete in the “Fire Fighter Games”

July 4th – several events, arranged by town

Lake Placid – parade, concert & fireworks

  • 5pm - 4th of July Parade
  • 7-9pm - Live Entertainment in Mid’s Park (Songs at Mirror Lake concert series)
  • 9:30pm - Fireworks over Mirror Lake with Set the Night to Music, a choreographed accompaniment of the fireworks to music broadcast on local radio station 93.3 FM WSLP

Long Lake – hometown, day long celebration

  • 10am: 4th of July Games - Long Lake ball field (kids games, prizes for everyone, ice cream; egg toss, hula hoop, sack races, scavenger hunt)
  • 4pm: July 4th  BBQ - Long Lake Town Beach
  • 6pm: Grit N Grace: LIVE IN CONCERT - Long Lake Town Beach; if raining, Mt. Sabattis Pavilion (great view of the fireworks)
  • Fireworks at Dusk

Saranac Lake - parade and fireworks

  • 10 a.m. kid’s Parade (begins in the St. Bernards School parking lot and ends in Riverside Park)
  • Dusk: Fireworks at dusk over Lake Flower

St. Regis Falls - 

  • 11am - parade
  • 12:30-4:30pm: chicken BBQ with live music
  • 5:30pm: DJ word of mouth
  • Dusk: fireworks

Ticonderoga –

  • Fort Ticonderoga - daily activities
  • Ticonderoga “Best 4th in the North” activities
    • 10:30am-11PM: Food, Vendors & Rides In Bicentennial Park
    • 1:45 PM: Annual Montcalm Mile road race for all ages
    • 2PM: Fourth of July Parade - Montcalm Street, Downtown
    • 7:30- 11:30PM: Joe McGinness - Live Music - Country, Rock, and Original Music
    • 9:45 PM/Dusk - Grand Fireworks Display
